What better movie to bring in the new year than the cyberpunk noir cult hit Strange Days, almost forgotten by the mainstream, but not by us!
Set in the last two days of 1999, the film takes place in a world where memories can be sold on the black market. However, when a memory dealer wants to find out what happened to one of the girls in a series of memories, he unravels a sinister plot.
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break, The Hurt Locker), and written by James Cameron (Avatar, Terminator), this movie explores many of the ideas that have been revitalized with the release of Ready Player Two.

Episode 29: Videodrome
Back in 1982, David Cronenberg was still a fledging director in Toronto Canada. Then he made Videodrome and everything changed.
Videodrome follows the president of a trashy TV channel, Max Renn (James Woods) who is desperate for new programming to attract viewers. When he happens upon "Videodrome," a TV show dedicated to even trashier TV than he could've imagined, Max sees a potential hit and broadcasts the show on his channel. However, after his girlfriend (Deborah Harry) auditions and never returns, Max investigates the truth behind Videodrome and discovers that reality may not be what it seems.
We'll talk about the movie, do our Trivia Challenge, then give it our Wow! Score.

Celeste is a professional digital entertainment and event industry specialist, music producer and virtual reality visual artist who is part of a new wave of DJs who perform in Virtual Reality as well as design their own stages for their concerts.
We'll talk to her about how she does what she does, then head to an afterparty at the incredible Burning Man inspired "Solar Shrine", a BRCvr world where she'll drop a live set of deep house music! You won't want to miss this!

This week we revisiting the anime cyberpunk classic, Akira.
Set in a dystopian 2019, Akira tells the story of the leader of a biker gang whose childhood friend acquires incredible telekinetic abilities after a motorcycle accident, eventually threatening an entire military complex.
We'll talk about its legacy, if it holds up, and give it our Wow! score. Along the way, we'll also give you a chance to drop your knowledge bombs and make the Trivia Wall of Fame.

Nationites! Today we are very excited to interview Cam Labine, who has been a writer on Ubisoft's game Watch Dogs Legion for the past five years.
Watch Dogs Legion finds the players in a near-future London that has just suffered a devastating terror attacks caused by a mysterious entity called Zero Day.
Cam will talk about his experience writing for the game, and what it takes to put out one of the most anticipated titles of the year.
